His  Majesty   King  Mohammed   VI,  may  God  assist  him,  appointed   Mr.  Abderrahim   CHAFFAI   as Chairman  of the Insurance  and Social Security  Supervisory  Authority  (ACAPS)  on October  19, 2023. Since 2019, he had served as Director General of the Solidarity Fund for Catastrophic  Events (FSEC).

Mr. Abderrahim CHAFFAI holds an MBA from HEC Paris and a degree in Engineering from the

Institute of Statistics at the University of Paris. After gaining initial experience at SANAD, he joined ZURICH Insurance as Deputy Managing Director.

Mr. Chaffai subsequently held several senior positions at Société Centrale de Réassurance (SCR), WAFA Assurance, VIDAL Assurances, and BCE Actuarial Consulting.
