Jeph has over 30 years’ experience in the African (re)insurance industry. He joined ZEP-RE in 2011, leading the set-up of regional operations in Southern African and was elevated to COO in 2019. In his current role, he oversees all regional/country offices, underwriting, business development, claims management, quality assurance, retrocession security, and shared services (legal, people & culture, and technology & innovation) for the Group.

A seasoned industry leader, Jeph has played a central role in advancing regional insurance capacity, market resilience, and strategic partnerships across Africa. He serves on the boards of Organization of Eastern and Southern Africa Insurers (OESAI) and Tanzania Reinsurance Company Limited (TAN-RE), and recently concluded his tenure at Uganda Re.

He is a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), and holds both an MBA and a Bachelor of Business Studies (Honours).
