Adetola Adegbayi is a  regarded insurance executive with over three decades of experience pioneering innovative risk and financial service solutions across Africa. She is the Founder of Mutual Specialist Investment Company (MUSIC), an impact investment platform and promoter of Mutual Aid Specialist (MAIDS), a shared-value microinsurance company advancing financial resilience and inclusive insurance access.

Through the MUSIC–MAIDS platform, Adetola has developed a blockchain-enabled hybrid mutual insurance model that redefines insurance as a fungible, wealth-building service. This model transitions policyholders into stakeholder-owners, enabling individuals, communities, SMEs, and social enterprises to access financial protection while participating in long-term value creation through tokenised insurance. Franchise-ready, MAIDS provides a scalable and commercially viable framework for replicating the distribution of fungible insurance solutions across Africa.

Adetola is an alumna of the University of South Wales, the University of Bristol, Harvard Business School, and IMD Business School. She is also a Top 50 Women in Insurance Africa honouree by the AIO.
