Mr. Bachir Baddou

Chief Executive Officer, CAT Assurance et Réassurance

Bachir Baddou holds a degree in economics from Pierre Mendès France University in Grenoble and an MBA from the University of Sherbrooke (Canada).

He spent more than twelve years at the insurance company La Marocaine Vie, where he served as Chief Executive Officer. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of CAT Assurance et Réassurance and Executive Vice-President of the Moroccan Insurance Federation (FMA).

In December 2024, he was elected Vice President of the Global Federation of Insurance Associations (GFIA), which brings together more than 40 federations representing nearly 87% of global insurance turnover.

He is also Executive Vice-President of the Moroccan Maritime Insurers Committee and the Moroccan Central Insurance Bureau (“Green Card” system), Past President of the African Insurance Organization (OAA), and a member of its Executive Committee.
